Every Little Hurricane in Images
Exposition:
9 year old Victor is sitting in his room at his family's HUD house on the Spokane Indian Reservation. The year is 1976. He just wants to be able to sleep, but the party going on downstairs is too loud and raucous.
Rising Action:
As his uncles fight, Victor ponders his past and his family's struggles, referencing a "box of [his father's] tears" that he would metaphorically give to his mother. Victor runs around the house, trying to find where his parents are. He asks several people for their location, but cannot find them.
Climax:
Victor finally finds his parents passed out drunk on the bed. He lies between them and feels all the history and sadness between them.
Falling Action:
Everyone goes out into the snow and the fight begins to wane, Victor's parents remain passed out.
Resolution:
Victory finally falls asleep between his parents. The "hurricane" has passed and the Indians of the party begin to pick up and count their losses.
