Exposition: Victor, 9, is laying in bed while his parents throw a New Years party upstairs. They are Native American, living in HUD housing on a Spokane reservation.
Rising Action: Victor's uncles get into a fist fight. Victor begins to compare their "hurricanes" to his own problems with his parents, their alcoholism, and poverty.
Climax: Feels ceiling crushing him from the pressure of his thoughts. The emotions inside of him are overwhelming and he feels claustrophobic.
Falling Action: Victor goes looking for his parents amongst the drunk and rowdy guests. He feels lost between familiar people, but is motivated to find his parents.
Resolution: Victor lays in between his parents content that he found them. He is finally able to fall asleep
